Spanish-speaking therapist, not an interpreter.
Martha Fernandez, LCSW, does therapy in Spanish herself: the same clinician and the same depth as in English, switching whenever you do. Secure video anywhere in California, private pay, first session this week.

Who it is for
For people who feel it in Spanish.
Native speakers
Adults whose first language is Spanish and who want a therapist, not a translation. No interpreter in the room and nothing lost between languages.
Bilingual professionals
Physicians, attorneys and executives who work in English but grew up, argue and grieve in Spanish, and want a clinician who follows both.
Couples
Partners who prefer different languages. Each speaks the one they think in, and Martha works in both at once. Couples sessions are $450.
Your parents
Adults who would never sit with an English-speaking therapist. You can help them find a time; they book and attend themselves.
How it works
Your language, from the first minute.
There is no separate Spanish service. It is the same practice, the same privacy and the same clinician.

Book a time

- 03
Nothing filed
Private pay only, so no insurer and no diagnosis code sent to a payer, in either language.

Therapy in Spanish FAQ
Questions about therapy in Spanish.
Is therapy in Spanish the same as therapy in English?
Yes. Same clinician, same methods, same 50 minutes and the same fee. Martha is fully clinical in Spanish; there is no interpreter and nothing is translated.
Can we switch languages during a session?
Yes. Many bilingual clients do, often without noticing. Martha follows you, and couples can each use the language they prefer.
Can I book for my mother or father?
You can help them find a time, but the adult who will be in therapy completes the booking and the intake, and must be in California at the time of each session.
Do you take Medi-Cal or insurance?
No. The practice is private pay only. For Medi-Cal mental health services, call your county's access line; in Los Angeles County that is (800) 854-7771.
What if I live outside California?
Martha can only see clients in California. Outside the state, CEREVITY, the network she co-founded, can match you with a Spanish-speaking clinician licensed where you live.
Elsewhere in California
Other places she sees clients.
Fees, with context
What $400 actually buys.
One fee for everyone, private pay only, the first session and every one after. Here is what is in it.
- 01
Martha, every session
The clinical co-founder of a private-pay network, and the only clinician in this practice. The person you book is the person you see, never an associate.
- 02
Nothing filed
No insurer and no diagnosis code sent to a payer, so there is nothing an employer, a studio or a licensing board can request from one.
- 03
Either language
Fully clinical in English and Spanish, with the same depth in both, switching whenever you do.
